DESCRIPTION:Judged Awards\n\nGrand Prize $2000\n2nd $1000\n3rd $500\nPeople’s Choice Award $1000\n\nRegistration fee\n\n$50 per team after 5/31/2026\n$40 per team until 5/31/2026\n\nAdditional Info\n\nRegistration from 9-11am on the day of event at the Loretto Senior Citizens building.\nTeams will supply any item needed to cook.\n20lbs of wings will be provided to teams.\nSetup begins at 8:00 am.\nTeams will need to be ready for inspection by 11:30 am.\nGate will open to the public at 2:00pm.\n\nRules\n\nTeams can consist of no more than 4 members.\nEach team will be provided with a 10’ x 10’ cooking area.\nNo vehicles are to remain in the cooking area. Once the setup is completed\, unloaded vehicles must be moved to the parking area.\nEach team competing shall supply all their cooking ingredients\, individual cooking devices\, utensils\, preparation tables\, etc. Teams may use any type of cooker desired. Power will not be supplied.\nEach team must have one garbage can. Trash bags will be provided.\nEach team should provide their own bucket of sand for cigarette butt disposal within their individual team area.\nWater stations will be nearby.\nEach team must have one larger cooler to store wings with ice.\nCooking can start any time after inspection.\nTeams will receive a turn in plate at inspection.\nEach team will turn in 7 wings for the blind judging.\nTeams will cook all 20lbs of wings.  Wings will be sampled by individuals with tickets for the People’s Choice Award.\nThe team’s captain will be held responsible for the conduct of his team and his guests.\n\nUnder NO circumstances are wings to be distributed without tickets\, beverages (including alcohol) to be distributed (given away or sold) to the general public by the teams or their contestants.\nThe Loretto Lions Club requests and requires that good taste be used with team conduct during the contest\n\n\nPit Master meeting at 11:45am at the Senior Citizens building. The team captain must attend for rules and Q/A.\nNo animals in the team area.  Please don’t bring your pets if you are cooking on a team.\nTurn in time for Judged Wings is 4:00-4:30pm at the Senior Citizens building side door.  Teams must be in line at 4:30 or wings will not be accepted.\nRestrooms are available in the park\nTeams can load out after the Awards Ceremony.  It is the responsibility of each team to see that the cooking area is cleaned\, and all equipment removed from the site following the contest.\n\nPeople’s Choice\n\nJudging will take place from 3:00pm to 5:00pm by the spectators.\nVotes must be turned in by 5:00pm to be tallied.\n\nAwards Ceremony\nThe Awards Ceremony will be at the Pavilion at 6:00pm.
